Ingredients
Sauce:
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp corn starch
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
3 tbsp sherry or red wine vinegar
3 tbsp honey
2 tbsp sesame oil
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tbsp sriracha sauce
1/2 cup beef broth
1 tbsp olive oil
1 lb flank steak, trimmed and sliced thin against grain
1 head broccoli cut into small florets
8 oz lo mein noodles, fettucine, or thin spaghetti
Directions
Start boiling your pasta water. When it's boiling, cook pasta according to instructions on package
Lightly steam the broccoli, so a fork will go into it, but not mushy
Add the soy sauce and corn starch to a medium sized mixing bowl. Whisk until the corn starch is fully dissolved
Add remaining sauce ingredients to the mixing bowl, and whisk until fully incorporated.
Heat the olive in a large skillet, and cook the steak until it starts to brown, about 5 minutes.
Add the sauce and stir with the steak. Heat until it just starts to thicken.
Add the broccoli and cook until the broccoli is softened, and the sauce has thickened, about 2 minutes.
Serve over the noodles.
