Fruit Stuffing
My mom's Thanksgiving stuffing recipe
Ingredients
14 oz Sage & Onion Cubed Stuffing
2 cups water, divided
1/4 lb butter
1 tsp garlic powder
12 oz sliced mushrooms
1 onion, chopped
3/4 cup wild rice, cooked
1 cup dried apricots, quartered
2 cups raisins
2 apples, chopped
1 cup cranberries
1.5 cups cashews
Directions
Slightly saute mushrooms and onion.
Plump and drain apricots and raisins.
Melt butter, combine with 1 cup water and garlic powder.
Put cubed stuffing in a large bowl or pot. You need room to gently toss the ingredients.
Add butter/water mixture by drizzling over stuffing and mixing gently.
Slowly add remaining water until cubes are moistened but not wet.
Add mushrooms, onion, and wild rice. Gently toss.
Add apricots, raisins, apples, and cranberries. Gently toss.
Add cashews. Gently toss.
Bake at 350 for one hour, or cook 6 hours on low in a crockpot.
