Ingredients
1 cup butter
2.25 cups sugar
1 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
0.75 tsp espresso powder
1 tbsp vanilla extract
4 large eggs
1.5 cups flour
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9x13 baking dish.
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter completely. Stir in sugar and continue cooking for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly. Do not allow mixture to boil.
Pour mixture into a large bowl or stand mixer. Beat in cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, espresso powder, vanilla extract, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
Stir in flour and chocolate chips until well combined.
Spread into prepared pan (batter will be thick and sticky)
Bake for about 25 min, until a tester comes out mostly clean.
The edges should be set and the center should still look slightly moist but not uncooked. Cool on a wire rack.
