Ingredients
2 lbs top round steak
Marinade:
1/2 small pear, peeled and coarsely grated
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp grated ginger
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp gochujang
2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
salt and pepper, to taste
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Directions
Lightly freeze steak to make it easier to slice. Freeze for about 30 minutes
Combine the marinade ingredients in a medium bowl. Whisk until well combined
When meat is done in freezer, slice across the grain into 1/4 inch slices
Combine the sauce and the meat slices in a gallon ziploc bag
Massage the meat and sauce in the bag to make sure that the sauce touches all parts of the meat at least once
Marinate in fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight, turning occasionally
Thread 3-4 slices of beef onto each metal skewer
DON'T FORGET:
πππ Brush both sides of the beef with vegetable oil πππ
Heat grill to medium heat (medium-low, if using sear box)
Add skewers to the grill and cook, turning occasionally, until charred and cooked through. About 4-5 minutes total
NOTE: you may need to switch up the position of the skewers on the grill to prevent some from being burnt, and others from being underdone.
